I am Leann Dawson, a painter based in White Rock, British Columbia, Canada.

I paint mostly with Acrylics, venturing periodically into, Watercolour and lesser in Water Soluble Oils. I am relatively new to the craft and continue to improve by challenging myself with variety. Landscapes, Sea Scapes, flowers, etc. and I hope to soon attempt portraits and animals.

When I look back, I semi-retired at age 52 during a tumultuous emotional time in a high stress career. I stayed in the same work field in a lesser stress environment and only 3 days a week but I was still looking for a stress outlet. I landed on Acrylic Painting. I was enjoying the process and the finished paintings, all the while getting feedback that people were enjoying seeing my works. Now I have retired and am ready to go all in! I have named my home studio “The Art of Plan B” and am putting my work out there for the world to see. Stopping to breathe in art is as good for the heart and soul as stopping to smell the roses❣️
